Straydog.org - MP3 (9 min 45 sec) Juana and Bill talk about what happened today at Straydog
Henry scratches his back on the ground during his visit to the park.
Colt (totally blind and totally deaf) stands in his kennel picturing the world around him using only his nose and the feeling of his four feet touching the ground. He knows that his kennel mate Fatso is behind him and that his other kennel mate Ms. B is to his left under the porch roof, which is in need of repair. That's the Kennel Feeding Office beyond, where Pat and Bill lived for over three years after moving to Straydog in 1994.
Big Foot and Snickers (with her head against the shelter door) enjoy the pleasant day sunbathing.
Pokey, whom Juana remembers from when she started to work at Straydog back in 2001, is still enjoying a very happy life at Straydog. Pokey and Bernie, who live in the back hall kennel, are interrupted on their way from the park to their home by Juana, who's snapping the photo.
Rudy and Spice wait for Juana (who's taking the photo) to let them back into H2 (Hospital Two, The Bollinger Building), where Rudy and Spice enjoy a 6' by 6' Retirement Kennel indoors, protected from the elements outdoors, where Rudy and Spice spent the first many years of their lives, warmed by hay-stuffed dog houses inside of 4' x 8' wooden box shelters. "We like it better inside," says Rudy, who was born to Rosie, a pregnant rescue Pat Arnold took in back in 2001.
MJ, one of Phara's now adult pups, has a grand time running across Park 2.
