JUANA: It was a very cold morning, because it was so windy. The wind was from the north and it was hurting our faces. It was horrible!
BILL: It was 36 degrees in the early morning. The wind was 15-20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph from the northwest.
JUANA: We talked about Friendly having surgery to remove the mass (tumor) that he had. He didn’t want to stay indoors at all and David couldn’t get him to eat during the night. He was cowering. Some dogs have never been indoors and they are just terrified. Sometimes I think that we are doing more harm than good. I know they will get used to it eventually. If he has to stay inside, we will keep him inside, no matter what. We let him go to the park with Polly and run with her. He was so happy. We never thought that this match would be successful, because Friendly loved Honey. He lived with Honey until she passed away from cancer. But now he loves Polly. We let Friendly and Polly play in the park and he was so happy. He finally drank a lot of water from the pool and we let him, because he wouldn’t drink anything indoors and he was so thirsty.
BILL: The dogs love it, when it’s about 50 or 55 degrees. It got up to about 45 degrees today. It was a little chilly, but they still loved it.
