Today I spent some extra time trying to convince Chubbs that the brush is not his enemy. It has always bothered me that such a handsome guy won't let me come near him with a brush. It took a couple of cookies, and a lot of sweet talking, but he finally stayed still long enough for me to brush him really well.

Today was a crisp 65 degrees. Bug decided she wanted to spend lots of time out here in Park 3 just soaking in God's love and enjoy the warmer weather. That was fine with me as well since the two previous days were filled with tremendous amounts of rain. Bug's a senior dog and one of my favorites, she's always calm until feeding time where she follows you around anxiously awaiting her meal. She and I have something in common, we like to eat!
While doing kennels today the puppies were in full on play mode. Normally they're pretty good about staying out of the way until I'm done, but not today. The shovel, rake, and water hose were all toys that they just had to have. Once I finished up I tried playing with them with their toys, but they just weren't having it. I guess toys aren't nearly as fun as a water hose.
Kate is a new baby here at Straydog. She was dumped nearby we are guessing because she came to us out of nowhere one morning. We couldn’t find or see anyone around but her walking across our dirt driveway, of course no tags and no collar. Why people do that I don’t know! She’s absolutely the sweetest dog I’ve ever met and so calm and well mannered, we are all so in love with her. She would be the perfect match for any family!
