JUANA: We took 16 dogs. We took 15 dogs in the RagTag Rescue trailer and we took Chester in the van with us. There were only little crates left and he wasn’t able to fit in them. We don’t have that many little dogs. Kate said that some of those crates would be better for cats. It’s space we can’t use, because we have some big, fat dogs.
It was a cold morning. We had a full crew and I scheduled an extra crewmember, because I planned to take Maci with me to do this Adoption Day event. Bill called in sick.
George took pictures of our crew doing kennels. Jacob was the walker of the day. It was 32 degrees in the morning and it was cold. You can see that George Jr. was dressed for cold weather. He normally doesn’t wear that much clothing. It wasn’t very windy. We had a south wind of 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
JUANA: We took Autumn and Shelia. It was our first time to bring Sheila to Adoption Day and she looks beautiful now. She has filled out and you can’t see her bones anymore. We made a list of the dogs that we were planning to take. I didn’t take Rose, but we did take Henry. I took Coco and she didn’t want to go. The biggest dogs we took were Spencer and Gina. Spencer was so happy. He really loves to go. There’s Kate meeting Gina. We also took Sophia and Talena. They like to go. We took Miss B and she was so happy. We took Patrick, little Henry and Fletcher. We took Teddy and Pinky and we took 12-year-old Beagle Bernie and he is so very sweet. He was barking. He did so well. He was barking at everybody and he was just so cute and as sweet as he could be.
We ran out of space in the RagTag trailer and Kate suggested that we take Chester in our van and we did.
If we could do this every month, it would be amazing.
BILL: We’ll be back again tomorrow with another report from Straydog.
