JUANA: It was very, very cold. I think it was the coldest day of this winter so far. It was 16 degrees in the morning and all of the dogs’ water buckets were frozen solid. They were frozen all of the way to the bottom. I went to get a hammer because there was no way to break the ice up in the water buckets with our shovels.
BILL: Did you break any of the water buckets? Our crew used to do that. In trying to break the ice, they would break the buckets.
JUANA: No, I didn’t break any buckets.
BILL: We’ll be back again shortly with another report from Straydog.
