This is Louis, he’s a big cuddle bug. When I go into his kennel with him he demands me to give him hugs, they are his most favorite thing. It’s weird though because he sits down to give you hugs instead of standing and leaning on you like others dogs do. Louis also loves to play with his kennel mate Snickers. He does however have a bit of a food trust issue and you have to gain his trust.
This little girl is starting to become the shelter “favorite”. She’s very outgoing and oh so sweet all at the same time, plus she’s gorgeous. It’s a win win with sweet June.
Simba has gotten so comfortable with me, now he comes to me when I call him and eats out of my hand. Every day I work with him, even if I'm not in his section I go see my boy Simba.

Through a great partnership with a shelter that promotes the same beliefs and core values as our sanctuary and with one common goal in mind, adoption, Straydog was able to allow the 9 puppies that came to us malnourished and in need of medical attention the opportunity to get adopted. Our caregivers worked tirelessly to nurture and care for them until the adequate weight and health were obtained. All 9 puppies that were dumped are now on their way to a better life and we can proudly report that 2 of the nine have already found their fur-ever homes and we are positive there will be more to come soon.
I didn't realize just how much I had missed Shaggy (& Chico), until I saw her today. Her adorable grumbling immediately caught my attention and I had to go give her some extra snuggles. While she does look super cute shaved and wearing her fancy party hat, I can't wait to see her all healed up and feeling better.

I've found the cure for those days where everything seems to be going wrong: Judy! Every time I crossed her path today my mood was instantly lifted. She's such a special, goofy little old lady.
