JUANA: We had a big vet visit that morning. We were going to pick up Little Big Boy and Cesar, Charlie and Annie went to see Dr. James and Dr. Shirey in the morning.
Dr. Shirey was in surgery that morning. We had to leave Annie there, so Dr. Shirey could put a drain in her tail. We didn’t know anything more than she had an infection at that time. Dr. Shirey tried to cure it with antibiotics. The first round of 10 days of antibiotics didn’t do anything, but it didn’t get worse. He suggested we try another week of antibiotics and, if it didn’t get better, he wanted to drain it. At this point, he still thought it was an infection. He wanted to put a drain in her tail and take care of the infection.
Then Big Boy had to stay with Rosita and Purtis until I could go and get Bill and we could leave for Dallas. Big Boy had been at the clinic for almost a whole week and he was happy to be home and see his little pals Purtis and Rosita.
