JUANA: We had a full crew and we had a vet appointment scheduled for early in the morning. Ronnie helped and took the doggies who were scheduled for this vet visit. George normally works on Thursdays and takes care of the vet visits. He called in sick because he has what we had. Now he’s down and my sister had it last week. I think it’s going around. He just started feeling sick on Wednesday and he went home early and he couldn’t make it Thursday. He’s off today and tomorrow. I hope that he feels better by Sunday or I will be here.
I told Ronnie that I didn’t want him to wait at the vet. Portia was going for an insulin curve and that takes all day. They have to check her sugar every hour and see how she’s doing with her insulin. Ronnie was going to leave the dogs there and I planned to pick them up before we close.
BILL: It’s really nice today (Friday) so far.
JUANA: Jacob was the walker of the day. Here he is taking Pokey and Bernie back. It’s funny to watch the dogs walk. Pokey is amazing. He keeps on going and going. He is so old and we fear that sometimes he is going to break and then he keeps on going. He’s one of Pat’s dogs. He’s at least 16 years old. I met him in 2001 and he was already a year old. He’s up there.
That’s what I have.
BILL: We’ll be back again tomorrow with another report from Straydog.
