JUANA: We had a full crew and it was a hot day. The first pictures are of the crew working in kennels, which is one of their daily chores.
BILL: What was wrong with Charlie?
JUANA: He has an ulcer and he was vomiting. He couldn’t get up. I guess he couldn’t get up, because his muscles have deteriorated from Muscular Dystrophy. The vet said that he was vomiting because the Rimadyl was irritating his ulcer. We had to stop giving him Rimadyl. We can only give him Tramadol for pain and Pepcid to coat his stomach. We’ll see how he does.
BILL: Has his anemia gone away?
JUANA: I don’t think so. I haven’t taken him to the vet again. I feel that as long as he’s eating, he will get better. He’s not eating very much, but he seems to have more strength. And he’s going to the park and following his normal routine. He’s 15 or 16 years old, so we can’t expect too much.
