This is Bug, she’s all dressed up and ready for Halloween. She’s pretty much Straydog's own personal “Office Dog”. Everyone who knows her can’t help but love her sweet, cute, chubby little face. She’s so sassy and absolutely LOVES her Momma (Juana). Her love for food is out of this world. She’s on the older side but she still loves to run in the park and play. Sometimes she isn’t up for doing much, but like most old folks she has her good days and her bad and but we love her no matter what day it is.
This is Minnie. She’s an old girl but today she just wanted to play (well, this is every day for her) she has a little limp and a cough due to heart problems but that doesn’t stop her not one bit. She’s also is absolutely gorgeous and a huge snuggler too.

The 2018 golf tournament went very well. Rosco was amazing for his first time out in a while. He did have one incident and he felt very bad about it. Just know he has to be in a one dog family. He loves ALL people and is very smart. He knows lots of neat tricks and has the potential to learn so much more. Plus, he's so good looking and his coat is beautiful and so so soft.
The idea of the negativity surrounding Pit Bulls has caused many of them to come to our shelter and live the duration of their life without getting a chance at adoption, mainly because many view Pit Bulls as inherently dangerous or overly aggressive. After many years of spending countless hours care giving and raising Pit Bulls next to my children, I believe that stigma has been unfairly placed on them and their lives. Dez came to us as a pup, from day one she proved to be loyal, teachable and loving. Able to follow commands such as sit wasn't a challenge for her at all. She continues to amaze our crew and share her love with us daily. Will the stigma placed over her head hinder her from getting a forever home or will love and compassion prevail? Dez is available for adoption today at the, you can also visit Straydog.org and help change the stigma one Pit Bull at a time. In loving memory of Tallie.

Murphy loves to run in his kennel and relax in the park. He’s got it all backwards but hey, whatever he wants, right? He would make an awesome addition to anyone’s family especially if you have kiddos, he loves the babies.

This is big boy Rickey. When I first started here at Straydog he was bit of a standoffish dog but after a while he has now calmed down a lot. He’s really fun to play with and gets so excited when you do. Today he rolled over on his back and just laid there his whole care giving session.
Wup loves his spider squeaky toy so much. He carried it around with him in his kennel all morning. He even took it to the park with him. He’s such a special boy.
During feeding first thing this morning Naomi decided it was time for care giving. She wouldn't even acknowledge her food, at least not until I pet her and gave her some ear rubs, then she devoured it. She's quite the character.
