JUANA: Happy Thanksgiving to everybody! We are doing this show a few days later.
BILL: We skipped a bunch, but go ahead.
JUANA: It’s just a regular day for the dogs. The people here are the only ones, who know that it is Thanksgiving. Straydog was founded by Ms. Pat and we follow the routine that she set up. The dogs come first and that is what we believe. So it was just a regular day. The only thing that I have changed is that I bring Thanksgiving lunch for the employees who have to work that day. They go home after work and have their own thing, but we have a meal at lunchtime. It’s been a tradition for a while now and our crew really appreciates it. The dogs also appreciate it because they get a little turkey snack with their food. We put a little turkey in every dog’s food bowl and the dogs love their snacks.
We had a full crew and everybody worked as hard as they do each and every day. They changed water bowls and buckets and cleaned kennels. We followed our normal routine. Before we hire anyone, we ask if he or she would mind working on holidays. Fortunately, they don’t. So that’s what we do. We did walks and caregiving and we cleaned kennels, like we do every day. Luckily, we didn’t have any emergencies and everything went well.
Jacob was the walker in Pat Arnold Park.
Maci was the walker in the Shirley Olsen Beemer.
Wayne and George Jr. worked in kennels.
Ronnie helped with medicine and doctoring of the dogs. We have three dogs with ringworm and we will get to that. We didn’t take any pictures of the ringworm.
All of the dogs were happy. It was a beautiful day. It started out cool, but it got warmer through the day.
JUANA: Tyler was cutting them, when he was working on the new shelter for C-Stat and Ricky.
That was our Thanksgiving.
BILL: We’ll be back again soon with another report from Straydog.
