JUANA: Yes, Bill. It was a good day. We didn’t get any bad news, like we did on Wednesday. Everybody is hanging in there and we are still struggling with finding a worker or crewmember. A lot of people just can’t handle this kind of work. We were supposed to have two people here today and they didn’t show. On Thursday, Morgan and Bree were here. Bree left at 11:00 and she said it was her last day. She just couldn’t do it. She’s the one with a baby. Her sister Morgan is planning to come back, but only for four-hour shifts. But she asked for a few days off and she wasn’t here. And Lacy is working Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I hope that she will be here on Sunday. She came all last week, so I am confident that she will be here. Courtney went to the hospital yesterday and she texted me this morning. She was going back to the hospital today. She’s not over her illness. She’s running fever and vomiting. She has a good attitude. She’s just very fragile. She needs to get stronger or the dogs will pull her everywhere. She’s very sweet and nice to the dogs and the dogs really like her. I just don’t know if she will be able to make it.
BILL: Okay, we’re back. Juana where were we?
JUANA: We were with Cesar in the park. I was telling you that we were training Morgan to do walks in the morning and Stephanie was training her. When Morgan left, I took over walks. The grass had gotten so tall and we were so shorthanded. I decided that we had to dedicate the afternoon to cutting the grass and weed-eating and doing as much as we could. We couldn’t even find the poopers in the park and in the kennels. We got a lot of the grass cut. Brianna was here in the morning and the crew finished kennels early and we dedicated the afternoon to mowing and weed-eating. It won’t take any time to finish what’s left to do inside the big fence.
We got good pictures of Cesar playing with his soccer ball in the park. It’s not a soccer ball. It’s a huge ball, but he likes to play soccer. He’s amazing! He’s blind, but he can hear. He loves to play and he can hear and he can smell his soccer ball.
BILL: Can you find another kennel for him outside?
JUANA: It would have to be a kennel with a top on it, like Sam’s kennel. Cooper is a jumper.
