Louis is without a doubt a big baby. He may come off as scary to the new workers here but once he starts to like you there’s no sweeter dog.
Buzz went back and forth between working my last nerve and being an absolute sweetheart this afternoon. Sometimes eating in such a small space with other dogs around is a little too much for him to handle and he gets rather grumpy. He made up for all of his bad attitude with tons of snuggles and kisses afterwards.
Tuesday and Wednesday were spent trimming and pruning trees in the H1 park (a team effort). Pruning is a great way to maintain a healthy tree as well as it's natural tree form. It also stimulates growth which leads to more shade for our dogs. With numerous trees in our park, our piles of clipped branches became a fortress for most of the dogs. They enjoyed running and hiding through the middle of them and some even played hide and go seek, can anyone spot Newly?
Barbie has had a rough few weeks bouncing from one kennel to another after her previous kennel mate/brother was adopted. It seems like everyone is picking on this poor sweet girl. As soon as I walked into her kennel today she jumped up and gave me a hug, then crawled straight into my lap when I sat down. She made it very clear that she needed some extra love today, which is something I'm always happy to deliver.
Trouper is such a gentle giant. If he likes you he LOVES you. He’s one of those dogs who has to choose you. I’ve been spending lots of time with him lately and I already love him and I fall in love with him more every day.
Diesel is slowly but surely learning that I'm trustworthy. Most of the time he's fairly comfortable around me but today he was showing me all kinds of extra attention without seeming nervous at all. He even sat down right next to me after I gave him a cookie.
Al was being a little turkey today (well everyday), he thinks it’s fine to nibble my chin when I run out of cookies. He wants all of your attention the whole time he’s with you. He loves everyone as long as they love him back.
