JUANA: It was super cold.
BILL: It was 41 degrees in the morning and it only got up to 51 degrees. It was sunny, but it was very windy. The wind was gusting at 25 mph from the north. And it got down to 33 degrees last night.
JUANA: We only had three workers on Tuesday, because our kiddos went back to college. If somebody called in sick, like last week, we would have been in a bind. We had three people, Ronnie, Stephanie and Wayne. They did a great job. Ronnie was the walker of the day and Stephanie and Wayne were the kennel workers.
It was cold enough and we didn’t have to rake. We just had to change the water buckets and cover holes. With only two people, we can’t spend a lot of time in kennels or we wouldn’t have time to give the dogs their caregiving. The dogs don’t really mind this weather. The young dogs get so frisky. Most of the older dogs are indoors. We are still keeping Natalie indoors. I am going to take her to the vet and see if we can put her back outside. She’s not limping anymore and we are still walking her on a leash. I still try to walk her in the park, when Brian comes to the park, because he misses her.
BILL: We’ll be back again soon with another report from Straydog.
