JUANA: It was a good day. First thing in the morning, we had an appointment to take puppy Ophelia to the vet. We have talked about her. We rescued her, because she was being abused, and we took her to the clinic and left her there for several days. When Dr. James sent her home, he said that he wanted to see her again on this Tuesday the 28th. George went to get her to take her to the vet and she’s just so very sweet. We would never raise our voices to her and she’s learning to trust us. We are now able to hug and kiss her. She’s a beautiful baby. George was carrying her out to the van to take her to see Dr. James.
I got some more pictures on my phone of the home visit and adoption and David got some pictures on his phone too. We will include those as well.
I was walking around with the camera and, as soon as Mickey saw me, he ran to me.
Mickey and Minnie are so beautiful.
Roscoe was in the park and he wasn’t listening to Catherine.
I turned around with the camera. He wanted to go after Lizzy, because all of the dogs were making such a commotion, because we were trying to get Lizzy out of her kennel, when Roscoe was in the park. It got all of the dogs upset. It was time for Roscoe to go back to his kennel, but he wouldn’t listen to Catherine.
But Catherine got Roscoe and there’s David with Lizzy.
This is a beautiful picture of Lizzy taking her last look at Straydog. She was adopted!
There’s beautiful Lizzy. She has gorgeous eyes and beautiful markings.
She was a stray, who walked up to the property of Stacey’s friends. Stacey is Bill’s daughter. Her rescuers travel all of the time and they didn’t have a fenced yard. They have a big ranch out in the country. They fostered her for a long time until she was adopted to the first family. They returned her, because she had separation anxiety and they were working. We didn’t know that she had separation anxiety. She was breaking out of her crate and trying to get out of the yard. She had a beautiful home. They had other pets and she got along perfectly with them. She was just so anxious, when her humans weren’t there, and they had to return her to Straydog. She was adopted again by one of our contributors and they returned her, because she wasn’t the right fit for them. We think the third time will be the charm for sweet Lizzy. This mom is a stay-at-home mom and we now knew what her background was and we could tell this family her pros and cons. We think that this will be her forever home, because she’s been there a few days now.
