JUANA: We made an appointment for James to go to the vet three weeks ago, when we picked him up at the Starnes Clinic. So he was going early Tuesday morning. He hasn’t had a procedure in three weeks. We were taking him to the Starnes Clinic, where Dr. Lay will examine him and more than likely do another procedure on his esophagus. We have a big concern. A week ago Monday, we took James to see Dr. James and get some x-rays and to see how his leg was doing. He was limping and he had infection on his bone and James didn’t have an appetite. Dr. James sent him home with two antibiotics in addition to the Metronidazole that he is taking for his intestines. He’s also taking C-something and Cephalexin. He’s taking three different antibiotics to try and cover all of the infections that he has. All of this started with a TPLO surgery on his knee. He was going to see Dr. Lay, because he wouldn’t eat. Both doctors agree that we should keep giving him the medicine. He didn’t have an appetite, but he would eat slowly, but he would eat everything. On Monday, October 26, 2015 he wouldn’t eat his evening meal at 6:00. He did eat his morning meal on Monday. He ate very slowly, but he ate. And on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, our overnight crewmember Brandy called me and asked what she should feed James. He didn’t eat his meal the night before and she wanted to know, if he was going to have a procedure on his esophagus, what she should feed him? I told her to give him one can of the high-energy food and not give him any E/N food. She said if we fed him and he had a procedure, he would have an upset stomach. But he wouldn’t eat at all. He was already scheduled to go to Starnes Clinic and I texted Jeanie and told her that James had just started this. Later on, Jeanie called me and said that Dr. Lay wanted to take him home for a few days, so he could see how James was acting and how he was doing. He wanted to be with James 24/7. I said, “Of course.” That would help us too. Dr. Lay didn’t call me today, But Jeanie and I planned to call each other on Thursday and find out if we can pick him up or if the doctor wants to keep him for the weekend. Dr. Lay doesn’t work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We should know more about this on tomorrow’s show. David Rentz took James to Tyler and left him there.
BILL: Did we get any pictures of all of that rain?
JUANA: Yes, we get such beautiful pictures of the rain.
BILL: It might be a mole. I’ve never seen gophers do that, even though they make mounds too. It’s going to be difficult for David to pick pictures; they are all so cute.
