Pinky just wanted to chill in the pool at the park today. I couldn't get the pool full fast enough for her.
Whenever I'm having a rough day I make sure and find the time to go see Splinter. As soon as I sat down in his kennel today he rested his head in my lap and looked up at me, he always knows how to make me feel better.
Embry and Selena are usually super playful and all about their cookies. Today it was thundering a little bit in the distance and they just wanted me to hold them and they wouldn’t take any cookies. I didn’t mind the snuggles but I know they were so scared. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
This is Kobe, he's a great and playful dog and has warmed up to me. We’re still working on getting him to feel comfortable and he is getting used to the park.
The dog I chose today is Bruja, she is a big lovable Rottweiler! You can’t step one foot into her kennel without loving on her first. She hasn't been here long but she has already made her way up on my favorites list. I learned today that she will lie down and roll over. I can’t wait to see what else she is willing to learn.
Today is a sad day for the Straydog family. 16 year old Pepper has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The arthritis became too much to bear. Pepper loved his daily trips to the park and lounging around one of our many shade trees. Pepper would watch everything going on around him. Though the few years at Straydog was short compared to his life, we made it as comfortable as possible and spoiled him daily. R.I.P. Pepper
Lately the weather has been bad, thundering right before our pm meal time, meaning a lot of our dogs will not eat. Gwen and Raphael (siblings living together) are very scared of bad weather and today wasn’t any exception. I tried to hand feed them but only Raphael ate for me. Meanwhile, Gwen just gave me all kind of kisses letting me know she was ok but not interested in eating her meal, bless her heart. Love them!
